Application Questions
Here's a sneak preview of the questions you will need
to answer in your application to Ask and Imagine. You can access
the application form at the Download
Forms section.
- This learning experience will give you skills
in leadership, ministry and a broader understanding of theology.
Briefly describe how and where you want to apply these skills
in your own life, church, school, diocese, region or local community.
(you may already be doing this, or it may be a new venture)
- In two or three sentences, describe what "ministry" means
to you.
- Tell us about any experiences
you have had of doing ministry and leadership (within or outside
the church).
- What
have these experiences taught you about yourself?
- What excites you about participating in Ask and Imagine? (What
do you hope to learn, or what skills do you want to develop?)
- How do you want to grow through Ask and Imagine? (What will
be the challenges for you in this program?)
- Describe yourself from the outside in; that is, tell how others
might describe you. Then describe yourself from the inside
out; that is, tell what you consider to be important about
yourself that others might miss (eg, qualities, characteristics,
faith, feelings, convictions, spiritual experiences).
- If you have never been to Ask & Imagine before:
In one sentence, tell us why YOU should be selected for Ask and Imagine. (this is not a trick
question, we just want to know the main thing that motivates you to apply!) or
If you have been to Ask & Imagine before and are applying for the Pilgrimage Program:
Describe how you have applied something you learned at A & I in your life, and what will, for you, be the new challenges and learning goals for yourself at the Pilgrimage.
Still interested? (We hope so!) Then, once you've given us some
contact info on the Start Here page,
you can download your application page and reference pages on
the Download
Forms page.
