Youth Program

Currently, we are not hosting the Ask & Imagine Youth Program.  The last one was in August 2013, and we are developing new sources of funding to enable us to bring back this life-changing opoprtunity for youth.  Stay tuned!

The Ask & Imagine Youth Scholars program is a chance to go to university on full scholarship for two weeks in the summer. It’s for young people who are between 16 and 20 years old (by 31 Dec 2013). You must have completed at least Grade 10.

As a Youth Scholar at Ask & Imagine, you’ll be part of a small group of up to 20 others selected from across Canada. You’ll be accompanied by a team of carefully selected mentors, taught by university professors and live on the beautiful campus of Huron University College, part of Western University.

This is your chance to:

  • Experience studying at a university
  • Put together academics and big ideas with hands-on action in ways that (could) change the world
  • Explore the intersection of various academic disciplines, such as history, philosophy, theology, science and psychology and how they are relevant to each other today
  • Challenge heart and body on a three-day multi-activity adventure training expedition: deep in the water, up in the sky and connected with the earth
  • Participate in spiritual practices to feed your soul and connect with the world around you and the Divine within you.
  • Build skills for leadership, teaching others, communicating what is important through public media or performance

Who Goes?

Ask & Imagine started in 1999. There are over 400 Ask & Imagine alumni across Canada involved in health care, business, music and arts, advanced education, community service, church leadership, working with youth and children and living a deep and integrated faith.

Is this just for ‘religious kids’?

While we are based in an Anglican theological seminary, Ask & Imagine is for youth from any background. Perhaps you want to explore big questions with wise teachers and mentors? Perhaps you are tired of fluffy unsatisfying answers and want to explore how (if?) God and theological questions are relevant for our lives. Maybe you want to know how we live faith in a meaningful way in a pluralistic society. Wherever you are coming from, Ask & Imagine is a diverse community of learners, seekers and adventurers.
